GUEST DESIGNER FOR SCRAPMATTS OCT & NOV.

Good afternoon Ladies,
Well here I am again with another couple of layouts using our divine Scrapmatts chipboards.  I hope that you will find some inspiration here. This photo was taken of my little granddaughter at the circus and the excitement just oozed from her.  I used some gesso on the background so that her face was the focal point.  The technique I used is as follows:-

Glimmer misted the background paper and then randomly stamped images.
Covered with netting, muslin and coated with Opal dust.
Added  embellishments along with
Scrapmatts  divine  chipboard,
Birds – CB1088

Lamp Post – CB4028

Garden Seat – CB1167

For my next layout, I had such a lot of fun creating.  The photos are of my hubby and I when we did our last cruise and thought of the porthole idea.
As I was trimming the circles I ended up with these 'curly' bits of cardstock and thought 'yes why not', so placed them around the photos for a whimsical effect.  Teamed together with the amazing Scrapmatts chippies CB6064 Nautical Designs, which were perfect for these photos.

I trust that you have enjoyed your visit here and I look forward to seeing your work using SCRAPMATTS.
Thanks for taking the time to look.....until next time.....Happy Scrapping.....Liz

SCRAPMATTS OCTOBER CHALLENGE - BRIGHT COLOURS

Hello Ladies,

Had to share with you the current challenge running over at Scrapmatts this month.  Using their chipboard the challenge is to use brights on it.  I decorated mine with Liquid Pearls, such a lovely effect.

My Layout here that I have created started with kraft card covered in crepe paper applied with liquid glue, the sprayed with glimmer mist -
I then mixed different colours of Liquids with Impesto and applied with to my new Maya Road template.  I think you will agree the effect is certainly different.

While I was cleaning off my spatula using my moist toweletts I had kept it on top of my bin and when it dried I had this effect................so decided to use it under my matted photo.
I hope that you are a little inspired to go 'outside your comfort zone'.  I can tell you that it is great fun . Thanks for taking the time to look and stay tuned, more coming :)

SCRAPMATTS GUEST DESIGNER FOR OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER

Hello Ladies,

Today I am sharing with you my good news......for the months of October and November, I have been asked to be Guest Designer @ SCRAPMATTS.   When you take the time to visit HERE you will find the most amazing Laser Cut Chipboards to compliment your most treasured photos and artwork.

Now I would like to share with you my first layouts as Guest Designer.

Precious Memories

Before I started on this LO, I dabbed a few drops of Glimmer Mist.
On my beautiful Scrapmatts chippies, firstly covered the Ornate Frame (which I had cut in half), the door handles and the leaf sprays with Gesso. Don’t you think those leaf sprays are just divine?  So lovely and delicate. I applied Crackle  accent and allowed to dry thoroughly, overnight in fact just to be on the safe side J.   You can see how it worked wonderfully in these photos.

For the Scrapmatts  words “Precious Memories” I covered them with ink and then applied Dimensional Magic.  The birds and bird cage I applied a little white ink.

Scrapmatts :-
MC1028                      Birds & Bird Cages
CB4060                      Ornate Frames
CB4063                      Leaf Sprays
CB5102                      Window Handles
CB6071                      Assorted Words

Now for my 2nd LO 'Winner - Hoot Hoot'

My layout is of a special dinner, held in honour of our son who worked at the RACV Club.
I have teamed the layered owl, (CB5109) which I coloured in Versa Inks, with a twig from (CB5056).

My heading is the fantastic Alphabet Flags, burnt cream, (CB6084).
I must say that the layered owl was so easy to put together and I hope that you agree that he looks mighty proud :)
Thanks for taking the time to look and hope that you enjoy your tour around Scrapmatts .
Until next time......happy scrapping.....Regards Liz :)
